Top Tier Golf Club
Top Tier Golf Club is a locally operated golf club selling memberships and good times.
Role: Designer/Developer
Goal: Redesign website to increase memberships bought and sign-ups for events.
Results: Saw an increase of 10% in membership purchases and 25% increase in club event sign up.
Here is how this was accomplished:
I was told that the website currently had all important information, but that the structure and design was not satisfactory. As I have no idea how a Golf Club operated, I began by asking a ton of questions and doing some competitor research. I found that most local clubs had all of the same information that I was given in the beginning. I knew now that I had to focus on the following features:
Design a score sheet table that was easy to read on mobile and desktop.
Ensure that the schedule is clear and concise with location, date and tee time.
A full color scheme overall that was uniform and matched the brand and appealed to those who enjoy golf.

Score Sheets
Before
After
As you can see here, changing the score sheets from screenshots of a scoring website to a table completely changes the design and ease of viewing the scores. By reducing the amount of information on the score sheet to only the most relevant information, this table design was not only possible, but what was exactly what the members…and owners…wanted. Goal 1 acheived.
Schedule
Before
After
Trying to figure out how to redesign that wall of text of a schedule took a bit of time. After a lot of thought and some research, I went with this card style of schedule. Each event having a distinct header and being grouped together ensures that members are able to see when and where the round is and even have the link to purchase a ticket or view the results of a match without facing just a giant list of words and numbers. Goal 2 achieved.
Color Palette
Now, I do not have any before images, but…there was not much to be excited for. First step I took before I did any thought on color theory and brand identity, I wanted to convince the owner to go with a dark mode theme. Once he agreed, it was time to jump heads first into which black and gray I am going to use and what the pop of color was going to be. It made sense to go with green after all of the research I had done on golf. Driving green, green like money (side bets), the putting green, all were green and the pop of color for this website was going to be green as well. Check out a few of my favorite showcases of the color scheme below.
This was such a fun design process and the satisfaction of not only the owners, but also the members was completely worth the time and focus spent on this redesign. The success of this design speaks for itself with the increase in new members and the amount of members purchasing tickets to events. All goals met, all issues addressed and Top Tier Golf Club reaches out time to time for landing page updates and flyer design when there is an event happening. It was a pleasure helping them get their to brand to where they want it to be. On to the next project!
